Becky Kirk

Assistant Architectural Visualiser

Becky brings a keen photographer’s eye for detail to all the support she provides to our 3D visual project work. To develop her skills and stay on top of the latest production techniques, she is also currently studying 3D modelling and animation at Futureworks, Manchester.

Stephen Koehler

Senior Architectural Technician

Stephen’s been with Taylor Design for thirty years now, since graduating from the Manchester College of Building. In that time he has used his technical ability to prepare thousands of drawing packages for the practice. We’re lucky to be able to call upon the skills of one of the most experienced guys in the business.

Sean Williamson BA (Hons)

Architectural Visualiser

Sean brings our architect’s vision to life with his beautifully realised 3D visualisations, animations and technical illustrations. He graduated from Blackpool & The Fylde College in 2003 with a degree in Technical & Information Illustration, however he still keeps right up to date with the newest, most innovative developments in VR and visualisation which complement his photography skills.

Paul Pilkington BSc (Hons)

Architectural Technologist

After being awarded his degree by Bolton University in 2005, Paul picked up almost a decade’s experience in the residential, commercial and higher education sectors. It was here that he developed his extensive knowledge of Building Information Modelling, it’s this process which he uses to deliver projects smoothly, logically and professionally from planning through to construction.

Chistine Halliday

Office Manager

Even the most creative teams need a pragmatic do-er in their ranks, it’s Christine’s role to help the senior management team keep everything running smoothly and efficiently – making sure each client receives a consistently high standard of project delivery. Her wide experience in IT, management systems and finance is vital in supporting all our architects and designers.

Amy Briers BA (Hons) BArch

Architect

Studied degree at Manchester School of Architecture and qualified in October 2007 and joined TD in 2013. Previous experience at Aedas working and has experience of education and student accommodation projects. Enjoys the challenge of job running and good experience in Revit.

Paul Kelly BScArch BArch(Hons)

Associate

Paul’s initial work experience was in residential towers and office development after graduating from the University of Dundee in 2004. It’s now nearly 10 years since he joined the Practice, and in that time, Paul has been instrumental in delivering an impressive number of high profile sites for a wide range of manufacturers.

Alia uses all her excellent client liaison skills as she oversees projects end-to-end, through every work stage. She is another of our team who joined Taylor Design after graduating, then continued her studies – earning the title of ‘Architect’ whilst she was working with us.

Paolo Boscolo BA (Hons) MArch

Architect

Everyone has their own way of resolving the snags or potential pitfalls of a project, Paolo enjoys sitting down and sketch-up modelling the scenario to find his individual solution. It’s a technique he’s found useful since graduating from IUAV Architectural University of Venice and working in the design of industrial chemical plants for WSP.

Architect

In the eight years between graduating from the Manchester School of Architecture and joining Taylor Design, Oliver’s professional experience included working on a number of healthcare projects for the IBI Group. It was here that he developed and refined his project-running skills and solid technical and design abilities.

Michie Tokiwa MSc BSc

Architect

After qualifying in Japan, Michie played an integral role in a number of projects for Kajima – one of the largest construction companies in Japan. As well as developing her very strong technical expertise in the automotive sector, transport, laboratories, public and residential sectors. Following a period working in Mongolia working for a Japanese government aid organisation, she attended University College London.

Adam Titley

Architectural Technician

It’s quite a journey from Shrewsbury College of Arts and Technology, to Sydney, Australia and then back to sunny Wilmslow. But that’s exactly where Adam’s career has taken him. Out in Oz, he picked up his professional interest in the precise technical process of creating BIM protocols alongside his revit experience; a key task he performs for Taylor Design.

Philip Taylor

Practice Principle

It’s nearly forty years since Philip opened the doors of Taylor Design after leaving Austin-Rover Group. In that time, he has consistently followed his ambitious vision of building a specialist motor trade practice which delivers outstanding design solutions with a unique and detailed understanding of both motor franchise facilities and manufacturer’s demands.

Paul is another of our team who has a background from Liverpool John Moores. After leaving university, he first made his mark in a London practice – focusing on prestigious residential and education projects; and it’s here that he built up his strong technical knowledge which he combines with precise and highly detailed design skills.

Senior Architect

There’s no substitute for experience; and Martin has been with Taylor Design for over 25 years after graduating from Manchester Polytechnic School of Architecture. He brings a technically-minded approah to resolving details in every project with his in depth knowledge of the construction process.

Lorna Griffiths

Director

Lorna’s degree was awarded by Leeds Metropolitan University in 1992 – and since then she has built her career around creating strong, assured client relationships. Initially, she gained valuable experience in healthcare and the public sector before bringing her ‘never say never’ positivity and motivation to Taylor Design for over two decades.

There’s a definite skill in taking the theoretical knowledge learnt at University and quickly determining how to apply it to practical situations; and that’s exactly what Liam is currently doing. Since leaving Liverpool John Moores, Liam has picked up a wealth of ‘hands-on’ experience, whilst he prepares to take his professional qualifications.

Interior Designer

A passion for design and its commercial potential led to Katherine gaining her degree from Nottingham Trent University in 2011 in Interior Architecture/Design. Since joining Taylor Design in 2013, Katherine’s outstanding career achievement to date has been the implementation of the Bentley design concept across the brands global portfolio.

Graduating from the Manchester School of Architecture, Jennah is helping nurture the next generation of architecture students through her tutoring at MSA. In a professional capacity, Jennah continues to build upon her knowledge of Corporate Identity and enjoys solving design queries with a growing regard for providing beneficial site experience and job running projects.

Office Assistant

We certainly appreciate that it takes the patience of a saint to calmly organise so many architects busy with so many projects; which is possibly where Vicky’s degree in Religious Studies comes in so useful. She provides valuable support to Christine as they keep everything running smoothly. And Vicky is also leading the practice’s work towards ISO 9001 accreditation in quality management.

We're happy to say we've had a worldwide search for the best architectural talent; and Francesca joins us afer graduating from IUAV Architectural University of Venice. She has experience working on prestigious multi-million pound residential projects which have given her the skills needed to tackle some of the practice's most important and high-profile central London projects.

Director

Adam has contributed in excess of 20 years’ service with Taylor Design – so he’s another member of the team with an outstanding breadth and depth of experience working with premium motor manufacturers. A graduate of Sheffield University, he began his career in the healthcare and food processing sectors, and now his design-led strategy drives many of our brand identity implementation projects.

Although Stephen graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture in 2000, he continued to gain more professional qualifications after joining Taylor Design. These helped Stephen develop and refine his strong design, communication and organisational skills which he has brought back to us after a spell working with Stephenson Bell Architects on high profile residential and commercial projects.

Lee has worked his way through the ranks after joining the Practice as an Architectural Assistant following his graduation from the Manchester School of Architecture in 2002 – taking further professional exams as well as gaining an extensive understanding of how creative design solutions can deliver efficient motor trade facilities.
